Sarah Palin

change ;)

Sooo I decided that it was definitely time for a change. I have been growing my looonnnggg hair since umm... well probably September of 2006 when I chopped my hair off to an ugly bob looking mess. I have had very few trims in between so my hair was badly damaged! My split-ins had split-ins! So I decided it was a good time to try something new. I have been in San Diego for over a year now and I have yet to find a hair dresser. Nonetheless I found a funky little place and I chopped my hair off again! And I looove it!!!
I  immediately  rebooked after the girl was done! If you are in the San Diego area and you are in desperate need of a good hair cut, check out...

Other than that, I had an awesome weekend with my dad! He was in town for a business meeting and we had a great time! I wish it would happen more often! And it was a realllly good weekend because I kicked my dad's butt in Fantasy Football!!!

fish

A few weeks ago I went with a few friends to paint pottery and I loved it!!!! hope you do too!!

time flies by when you're having fun!

Ahh! Ok, so when Michael left for deployment he made me a time ticker donut thing to track how much more time we had left of this deployment in percentages. It has it down to the weeks, days, hours, minutes, and down to the seconds of how much time we have left. Lately, I have been avoiding checking the thing just because I knew that we still have so much time left!

Well just a few minutes ago, I finally mustered up enough courage to actually check the thing out. I haven't check it in a few weeks. ANYWAYS, drum roll please...

I'm not going to give exact days because of OPSEC but there is about 28% left of the deployment!! So roughly somewhere in between 10-20 more weeks!!! =)

It may sound like a long time, but compared to where we have been, its not really long at all!

Before I know it, we'll be taking another picture like this!!! AHHHH!!!!

crappy friends: a thing of the past

The CNA crew!

I have had my fair share of friends. Both good and bad. And I tend to learn quickly who is going to turn out to be a really good friend or the dreaded not-so-good, fair weathered friend. I am usually a really good reader of people. However, with some people you think that you know them and you grow to be good friends and in some cases, really good friends. But it is only a matter of time until some people will really show their true colors. I am really tired of having high school type drama occur when I am 21! I think I am way past that point. I really don't think that friendship should be something that you have to work at. If it is a really good friendship, it should just flow. I really need positive friends to be around. I don't mean to be critical or judgmental, but I just need positive friends around me.

On a positive note (haha), I have really made a lot of GOOD friends since living in CA, that I plan on keeping. I was really skeptical after moving here, I thought it would be a whole lot harder to make really good friends. I am so thankful for the friends that I do have, especially now with Michael being gone and all. We always tend to have an amazing time when we are together! I love them!!!

Blogging, in general.

Ok so this is all a new thing to me and I want to really keep up with it. I like that I can share my life, my thoughts and feelings with everyone who reads this. I'm just not sure if I can get used to writing about myself. Blogs, to me, just seem very narcissistic. Like do you really care about my life and what I do in it? Oh well. I'm just trying something new. Whatever.
